Meet the Team

Micaela Trexler, PhD, is the founder of MTM Research LLC, a consulting firm specializing in funding strategy, technical marketing, and regulatory communications for life science companies.

With a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University and dual engineering degrees from Boston University, Micaela brings over a decade of experience in diagnostics, synthetic biology, Raman spectroscopy, and assay development.

Prior to founding MTM, she served as Senior Scientist and Director of Laboratory Operations at Seraph Biosciences, where she led development for Seraspec®—a real-time pathogen detection platform for use at the point of care.

Her unique background across research, product development, and venture consulting enables her to help startups and innovation teams bridge the gap between science and strategy. She specializes in early technology positioning, pipeline communication, and funding readiness for biotech and medtech companies.
